An empty, calm hotel reception at night

In many hotels, someone still stays up past midnight to “run the night audit”: check the day, post the room charges, print reports and press the button that moves the hotel to tomorrow. It’s tiring, error-prone, and it exists mostly because old systems couldn’t do it on their own.

Tea & Key closes the business day automatically. At a time you choose, usually early in the morning, the system closes yesterday and opens today. The nights post to every guest’s bill and no-shows are handled by your rules. The end-of-day report brings rooms, restaurant, spa and payments together.

What changes for your team:

Nobody waits up for a button. The day rolls over whether the desk is busy or not.

The morning starts with a list, not a hunt. Anything that needs a human, such as a no-show to decide, a bill left open or a room out of order, appears on one exception list, and each item opens where you fix it.

Numbers are final and traceable. Charges are posted once, corrections are separate records, and nothing is quietly overwritten. The report you read in the morning adds up to the cent.

You can still look at the day before it closes. If you want to check the numbers in the evening, the preview is always there. Having that check is a good habit, but the closing doesn’t depend on it.

The result: the night shift can look after guests instead of software.
